Defining Our Direction
Director's Message
Defining Our Direction
… these three words truly reflect our activities over the past year as we worked
collaboratively with our Board of Trustees, staff and stakeholders, to develop a
new mission and vision and to define strategic priorities for the next three to five
years. Our new mission’s tag line, “Confident learners, caring citizens”
summarizes our commitment to educating the hearts and minds of our students.
Through innovative and quality programs, we provide our students with a strong
academic foundation, support their development of good character and citizenship,
and build their confidence and capacity to apply their knowledge in a fast-changing
world.
Similarly, we are also dedicated to ensuring our staff have the tools and learning
opportunities necessary to deliver quality learning experiences and to create
learning environments that are innovative, engaging and foster creative thinking
and problem-solving.
As a teaching and learning organization, we are excited about our new strategic plan and the opportunities ahead. We also look forward to our continued positive relationships with our stakeholders and our community partners who work so closely with us to support the achievement and well-being of our students.
I hope you enjoy this report, which provides a brief snapshot of the learning and activities happening across the Algoma District, and celebrates why we are “Proud to be … ADSB!”
